Description
Hedgewars is a free-to-play, open-source online game. Several teams, consisting of hedgehogs, try to destroy each other with a variety of weapons. The teams only move sequentially. Each turn is given a certain amount of time. During the game bonuses are given, new weapons are opened. In general, gameplay is identical to that of Worms.
Numerous weapons are at the player’s disposal, including: dynamite, bazooka, baseball bat, teleporter, napalm, kamikaze, watermelon bomb, grenade, shotgun and many other weapons. Weapons and many settings are customizable through the weapon selection menu. Most weapons, through explosions, distort the terrain, tearing chunks off of it. Weapons also deal damage to hedgehogs, based on which weapon is used and how it hits the hedgehog. The damage counts after the hedgehog has attacked, and after all hedgehog movement has stopped.
The landscape of the islands is a hovering piece of land or a confined cave with water at the bottom.
