NAPS2 8.2.1

NAPS2 (Not Another PDF Scanner 2) is a very handy tool for scanning documents and saving them as PDF files or as graphic images (bmp, gif, tif, jpg, png, etc.). The software allows the creation of multiple scanning profiles depending on the quality settings required for the scanned file. Batch scanning is also supported which is very convenient for scanning large volumes of documents.

The output settings for the PDF document are quite flexible, as the name, author, subject and keywords can be specified, encryption can be employed (owner password and user password), and file access rights can be controlled (printing, modification, copying etc.).

Importantly, the tool includes a text recognition module: you can use the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) function to add search to the created PDFs (Russian is supported).

Besides directly scanning, NAPS2 allows you to upload previously saved images and PDF files. By the way, some editing elements are available for images: cropping, brightness, contrast, rotation, reflection.

Of course, in order to start scanning, you have to have the scanner device itself installed and connected to your PC. If this is done, this manager will make the scanning process simple, convenient and enjoyable.
