LibreOffice is an open-source office suite, an offshoot of the OpenOffice.org project, claiming to be a free alternative to the Microsoft Office suite of office applications. It includes the text editor Writer, the spreadsheet editor Calc, the presentation wizard Impress, the vector graphics editor Draw, the formula editor Math, and the database management module Base.

In addition, LibreOffice is equipped with tools for importing SVG graphics and files created in Microsoft Works and Lotus Word Pro. Also, the package includes many extensions such as PDF import, presentation console, enhanced report builder, and more.
