Description

True Combat: Elite is a modification of the free-to-play online first-person shooter Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. The game is made in the tactical shooter genre and is implemented for Windows, Linux and Mac platforms. The game has an anti-cheater protection PunkBuster.

The game is a fast-paced modern tactical shooter in which players split into two teams and, using modern weaponry, destroy each other (Bodycount game mode), or one team places a bomb and the other must prevent it from being set or defuse it when it has already been set (Objective mode). There is also a capture the flag mode, CTF.

One of the most famous features is that there is no crosshair sight in the game. Instead, real gun sights are used (in aiming mode). Guns can also be used without aiming (hip shooting mode), but with less accuracy.

There are two teams in the game: Terrorists and SpecOps, which are divided into three classes:

• Assault – has access to assault rifles, shotguns, a pistol and one hand grenade;
• Recon – has access to submachine guns and a shotgun, as well as an additional technical kit (instead of light, smoke or live grenades) and a pistol;
• Sniper – has access to sniper rifles, pistol and one smoke grenade.
